“MANDRAGORA” — Some roots should remain buried.

MANDRAGORA is a sculptural ear weight for stretched lobes, inspired by the mandrake, botanical folklore and the creatures imagined beneath the forest floor.

A distorted face emerges from an elongated, root-like body, its mouth frozen open. Leaf-like details frame the figure, while twisting roots reach downwards. The upper stem curves into the hook, creating a continuous organic form.

Dark patina settles into the face and textured recesses, while hand-polished highlights reveal the creature’s features. A small relic from somewhere between the forest and a nightmare.

Handmade in Italy using the lost-wax casting process, every piece is individually cast, finished and patinated by hand. Small variations and marks are part of its artisanal nature: no two pieces are completely identical.

SYMBOLISM

MANDRAGORA draws on the image of the mandrake: a root with almost human features, suspended between plant and creature.

Its open mouth evokes a silent scream, while the roots suggest a life that belongs beneath the surface.

A symbol of hidden growth, mystery and the unsettling boundary between the familiar and the unknown.

BRASS — A LIVING METAL

Brass contains a high percentage of copper and naturally evolves with time. Contact with skin and moisture may gradually change its patina or leave a temporary green or blue mark on the skin.

This is not a defect. It is a natural reaction of the metal and part of the character of each piece.

925 STERLING SILVER

Sterling silver may naturally darken over time. Its brightness can be restored using a soft silver-polishing cloth, or the oxidation can be left untouched for a darker appearance.
